Chad Carter has been in education for 20 years. He received his high school diploma from Lincoln County High School in 1991. In 1994, Chad received an associate's degree from Motlow State Community College. Chad graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in physical education and wellness in 1997 and master's degree in administration and supervision in 2011.
He began his teaching career in Bedford County at Community Elementary in 1997. In 2000, Chad began his teaching and coaching career in Lincoln County at Central Junior High. He continued to teach at Central Junior High until the transition to Ninth Grade Academy when he obtained a teaching and coaching position from 2002-2011. Becoming an assistant principal in 2011, Chad moved to Highland Rim School. From HRS, Chad became the principal at Ninth Grade Academy in January of 2016. NGA is where he continues to serve the students in Lincoln County. Chad is proud to call Lincoln County his home.
Chad and his wife, LeEllen, live in Lynchburg and have two children. Logan Bedford Carter will be in the 7th grade and Ellie Graycen Carter will be in the 2nd grade this year. Chad and his family enjoy spending time at the lake. They enjoy boating, fishing, camping, tubing, surfing and wakeboarding. They are a sports family and love the Tennessee Vols!
